Can germs grow on hand and face soap [solid] if not used for a long time. eg. 1 year?

Germs are everywhere, but it is nothing to worry about: most of them are harmless. This does not mean that you don't have to keep things clean of course. I would use that soap no problem. Can germs grow on hand and face soap [solid] if not used for a long time. eg. 1 year?
Yes, I don't ever use old soap %26amp; the only kind I do use is Dial Gold, like they sometimes make you use to shower with in hospitals before surgery.(it's antibacterial)Can germs grow on hand and face soap [solid] if not used for a long time. eg. 1 year?
Solid bar soap is actually worse for you to wash your hands and body with than liquid soap because once you wet it and let it sit, bacteria grow due to the warm, moist environment. Even antibacterial soap is not that effective. I would use liquid soap instead.
