Itchy hand after soap?

about 2 weeks ago, at camp, i washed my hands with unscented soap in the bathroom then the part of my hand in between my thumb and index finger started getting itchy, red and swollen. it just happened again but with bath %26amp; body works hand soap. any idea whats going on with my hand?Itchy hand after soap?
The same thing happens to me sometimes. It might just be a bad reaction, but it could also be eczema. If it persists and you have dry, itchy skin for a long time it'd be a good idea to talk to your doctor.Itchy hand after soap?
My sister is the same way if she uses a certain type of soap it makes her get rashes, you are just having an allergic reaction to a certain ingredient in the kind of soap, just make sure you use soaps like Ivory, and it won't happen again, unless Ivory gives you rashes too, you can ask your doctor about what soap to use, and they might even be able to see what ingredient it is.
it sounds like Eczema to me i have it. i didn't realize i had it till after high school. i now only have it on my hands, you can't catch it, it is inherited. just go to the doctor and get some cream medicine for it and try to stay away from soap with lots of chemicals in it. put Aveeno lotion on it or Eucrin cream. if its really itchy and if you not allergic to it you can use cortisone.
Sometimes some of us have super sensitive skin. I think you are allergic to this soap, even though it is unscented. You may wanna try some soap by Aveeno. You could even use the body wash as hand soap. Also, dry skin equals itchy skin. The best lotions I have tried for super sensitive skin are Cetaphil and Lubriderm. They are better than a lot of other kinds.
eczema? I have the same thing, most soaps irritate my skin, mostly my hands. Probably a good idea to see a dermatologist to rule out anything else, and get some ointment for your hands. Google eczema %26amp; look at the pictures of it, see if it looks like yours.
You may be allergic to a common ingrediant used in soaps. I would say to go to the doctor and find out what it is to control this problem by buying a certain type of soap for you. Also the camp soap could have just been cheap. (like my camp's) lol

xoxoxo Jeana
Sounds like an allergic reaction. Products that are highly perfumed are likely to cause allergies. Change your soap or go to a really mild liquid wash for a while till it clears up. If it doesn't clear up you'll need to see your doctor :)
use a different soap, something mild and most likely hypoallergenic

you must have had an allergic reaction

if your hand is still swollen, take some benadryl.

you are like me alligeric

You may be allergic to something in the soap. You should discontinue your use of any soap that you've had a problem with and visit your doctor to get allergy tests done. Good luck!
You probably just have very sensitive skin and the soap bothered your skin! I hope this helps! Try to go for all natural ingredients!
You are probably just experiencing dry skin or exczema (sp?)

It might also be that you are allergic to the both soaps.
soap allergies. try another soap and see if it continues if not, it may be a certain ingredient...
Your probably allergic to most soaps.

Try something organic or for sensitive skin
the soap is eother bad or your skin is not defensive *just forgot word i was going to say* against that type of soap.
you should change the soap you are using and get another brand that you're comfortable with.
