What personal standards are ';the norm'; and how ';normal'; (or monotonously alike) are we??
Do you use additional utensils (i.e. a spoon) when eating pasta, or does a fork suffice?
Do you follow standard rules of table etiquette when at home?
Do you use fabric softener in your laundry?
Do you allow your kids to eat off the floor?
How long is your average shower?
When bathing, do you have a preference of loofah or wash cloth?
How often do you opt to wash your hair? Comb or brush it?
What do you feel is a personal quirk of yours that makes you unique?
At home, do you wash your hands with bar soap or liquid hand soap?
1. Bar soap in the bathroom, liquid in the kitchen. I used to use liquid in the bathroom too but then it ran out and I had a bar on hand, so I guess it varies.
2. Just a fork. In restaurants when they bring a spoon as well, I'm not sure what it's for.
3. My meals are usually too informal to demand etiquette rules. If I was hosting a party, then I would, and if I were at someone else's party, I would. But I do put my elbows on the table in formal situations because it seems to me that everyone does nowadays.
4. Nope, just detergent.
5. 10-15 minutes.
6. Loofah. Washcloths take too long to dry and start to smell moldly if you don't wash them after each use.
7. I wash (shampoo) my hair everyday; I condition it daily. I do deep conditioning treatments every two weeks or when my hair feels dry. I brush my hair when I get out of the shower, and I sometimes comb it during the day to smooth it.
8. I can laugh for a minute or more at a time when something really amuses me. I don't try to, but if I find something funny I will laugh for a very long time. And I guess sort of odd stuff amuses me, just little idiosyncrasies. My sense of humor is identical to cartoonist Roz Chast's (The New Yorker has them).
Oh, and I don't have kids, but if I did I wouldn't let them eat off the floor. At home, do you wash your hands with bar soap or liquid hand soap?
I use liquid soap for hand washing but prefer a bar soap for the shower.
A fork for pasta (also cut up first with a knife) I don't do the mile long twirling of spaghetti around the fork.
Generally, yes on the standard rules of table etiquette at home. (but I don't set a full table in advance unless I have company over)
No, I don't usually use fabric softener--once in a great while.
No, kids don't eat off--or on the floor--sit at the table to eat, or at least a tv tray on occasion.
Average shower 10-15 minutes %26amp; prefer a washcloth. Scrunchees and loofahs breed bacteria
I wash my hair daily, brush or comb it 2 or 3 times a day (depends)
Besides having a creative flair---if you ask me a question, I will answer it.
I'm Asian and I wash my hands with liquid hand soap coz i think its much cleaner than a bar soap.
When eating pasta i only use fork.
No, not really when I'm hungry I usually can eat while I'm standing or even if the table isn't prepared yet.
I always use softener
If i had a kid, no.. I wouldnt allow then to eat off the floor.
Average shower is 10mins
I just use wash cloth or sometimes bare hands.
I wash my hair at least twice a day.. I have a very short hair so i don't really brush it often.
I'm unique because i don't get bored even if i don't have a job! lol
Do you use additional utensils (i.e. a spoon) when eating pasta, or does a fork suffice? Fork is ok alone.
Do you follow standard rules of table etiquette when at home? Um, kinda.
Do you use fabric softener in your laundry? No.
Do you allow your kids to eat off the floor? I have none, and even i think thats putridly disgusting.
How long is your average shower? 5-6 min.
When bathing, do you have a preference of loofah or wash cloth? Neither.
How often do you opt to wash your hair? Comb or brush it?
Every 2 days. I have short hair, so combs and brushes arent needed.
I wash with either kind of soap, whatever is there, usually liquid.
I use a fork with everything.
No manners for me thank you.
Lots of fabric softener.
3 second rule applies.
I like long showers around 15-20 minutes.
Wash cloth
Wash my hair every day. No combing or brushing required. Its really short.
I make funny faces when I try to concentrate on something.
i used liquid only, i only use a fork when eating pasta, i do not follow the rules of etiquette ever, i do not use fabric softener, i do not allow my children to eat off the floor, my showers are 15 to 20 minutes long, when bathing i only use a wash cloth, i wash my hair every day and i comb and brush it every day
bar soap
I eat pasta with a fork only
Yes, I follow rules of etiquette anywhere
No I don't use fabric softners
No,I never allowed my children to do that
10, no more than 15 minutes
Wash cloth
Wash hair once a week. Use afro pick or a comb.
I use liquid hand soap because it's easier, plus I feel like it's cleaner because it's inside a container.
I use a spoon as well as a fork when eating spagetti, or sometimes I cut it up a lot first, then I use a knife as well.
I usually follow the standard rules of table etiquette, except I don't set the table w/ all the utensils unless I know I'm going to use them.
No, I don't usually use fabric softener.
No, my kids don't eat off the floor. (Though they might sit on the floor while eating).
My average shower is about 10-15 minutes.
I prefer a netted scrunch for soaping up, and a wash cloth for rinsing.
I don't like to wash my hair more than twice a week as I can't do anything with it the rest of the day and all the next day. Both comb and brush, depending on style that day and how tangled it gets.
When I burp it comes out..';burp';, and when I sneeze it comes out ';achoo!'; People are always teasing me about that.
