When renting a room, how do things like Toilet paper, laundry soap, garbage bags, hand soap, get paid for?

I'm not sure if my question make any cents, but I'm renting out a room and trying to type up a lease. I have not had a room mate for years and I always bought my own cleaning things and TP etc. But some of my friends say thats all included in the rent now days.

We are going from a home of 2 to a home of 3 and then one week later a home of 4. The 1st person moving in had never had roommates before other then when he stayed at his friends and his parents.

So the cost of things like laundry soap (has to be HG), dish and dish washer soap, Toilet Paper, garbage bags, hand soap, Paper towels is going to double.

Do we ask that he buys some of these things? We get most of our things from Costco so should we ask him to give us some $ for when we go?

Thanks for all your help.

And if you have any other tips that would be great! When renting a room, how do things like Toilet paper, laundry soap, garbage bags, hand soap, get paid for?
everyone buys their own. no need to cause problems over dumb stuff like snagging the last roll. Its hard enough to live with people. When renting a room, how do things like Toilet paper, laundry soap, garbage bags, hand soap, get paid for?
You can either add this into the rent cost or make them responsible for a portion. Make it easy on yourself and either include in rent or provide. You don't want to get into an arguement over toilet paper and who can use it.
Take what you spend on those supplies and double it and add it to the rent
Split the cost equally for those items.
