Why does soap and water remove dirt while washing hands?

I want a scientific answer.Why does soap and water remove dirt while washing hands?
the molecules in soap are non-polar, and the molecules of dirt are non-polar. 2non-polar molecules attract eachother and 2 polar molecules attract eachother.Why does soap and water remove dirt while washing hands?
The main purpose of washing hands is to cleanse the hands of pathogens (including bacteria or viruses) and chemicals which can cause personal harm or disease. This is especially important for people who handle food or work in the medical field. Washing your hands is one of the most effective ways to maintain health and prevent infection
Wow, how odd. I just had this in an SAT practice.


Okay soap is made from oils/fats and ashes. The fats and whatever like sort of soaks up the dirt. And when you wash them under water the water washes off the oils that have the dirt inside of it.





Yeah, sounds pretty dumb right? haa, (:


Im a freshman so it is going to sound dumb
kinda like what a person said but uhh opposites attract so the soap molcules are opposite to the dirt which attract and lifts up the dirt and the water just washes the soap off.
