Did you have any cuts on your hands? The first nurse to get HIV had been cutting her roses in her garden the day before. She was instructed to take blood from a patients arm and she put gauze on the arm as she drew the needle out, his blood soaked through the gauze and onto her thumb, with the cuts from the roses. She later caught HIV.

Always wear thin plastic gloves on your hands when drawing blood, or handling a patient that is bleeding. It protects both of you. If you had no cuts, you are probably OK. Is soap and water enough to get someones elses blood off you hands incase of a deaseases
Medicated soap would work better, but as long as you washed thoroughly,I would think you will be ok!
soap and water works very well to rid you of anything on your skin, no worries.
You should be fine.
