Is Dish Soap Safe For Washing Hands With?

Many people I know use dish soap to wash their hands as well. I wanted to know if it is ok to do so because it is made for washing dishes and not.. well hands. There are some dish soaps that say it is also used for washing hands like Palmolive Antibacterial so I already know about those kinds. Is Dish Soap Safe For Washing Hands With?
Yes, any liquid dish soap is suitable for washing your hands. Soap is anti-bacterial to begin with.......that is why it's soap! It washes your hands, therefore gets rid of bacteria. Liquid dish soap is formulated for skin contact because....well, you use your hands to do dishes. There are definitely those out there that are more mild on hands, but you just have to find what ones that don't irritate or dry out your skin. It's a wonder that people trust liquid dish soap to clean their dishes (on which they put food that ends up in their mouths and bodies) but doesn't trust it to wash hands......hmmm.Is Dish Soap Safe For Washing Hands With?
I hope so... we use it at our house.
its fine to use dish soap but i find it to be rougher on my hands. so i have antibacterial handsoap next to the kitchen sink as well as hand lotion to keep my hands soft as possible.
hi9

hand soap have lanolin in it

but dish soap has not so more rough on the hands

as a mechanic i used comet or old dutch

I'm tough lol lol
Yes, Palmolive is soft on the hands as well. (now I sound like that commercial!)

They are designed for use by human hands. Use one that will not dry your hands out. It is less expensive to buy one packaged for dishes, than one packaged for hands.
It is safe. But not recomended.
well dish washing soap is actually safe to use. in fact we use our hands to wash dishes no? the problem with them is that the detergent is quite harsh, it has to be to be able to wash off the food etc off dishes. therefore ideally use a moisturising handwash since dishwashing soap will make your hands dry in the long term
